Before you go the cheap route by calling someone to just add Freon to a compressor unit, you may end up losing a location. The upkeep and maintenance of the compressor is the key to extending the life of your machine especially when you buy a used one.

Check off list for a machine with a compressor/cooling unit like in the image on this page:

1. A vending machine need to have a clearance off the wall 4-6" in order to function correctly.

2. The vending machine should be plugged into an outlet. No extension cord. 

3. The vending machine should be plugged into it's own breaker to eliminate stress on the unit.

4. There has to be no debris on the condenser coil. If so, clean it off with a wire brush and air holes.
